Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that range is solid.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
